Why South London
South London is home to many of London’s businesses and over 700,000 people work here. With 1.6 million residents, over one 1/5th of London’s population live here. South London has London’s only tram network which is recognised as one of the most popular and successful in the UK. Bromley, Croydon and Kingston are three of the UK’s ‘top town centres’ offering an excellent retail and leisure experience. The many smaller centres provide specialist shops, restaurants and places to visit. South London also has many internationally significant visitor attractions, including Kew Gardens; Hampton Court; Barnes Wetlands; Chessington World of Adventures; Biggin Hill Air Show; Darwin’s home at Downe and Chislehurst Caves. We also excel in sports with iconic venues such as the RFU at Twickenham, the historic Crystal Palace National Sports Stadium and Wimbledon – home of international lawn tennis.
All of this plus the River Thames upstream, London’s Arcadia - and some of the most beautiful and extensive open space in the Capital. A special part of London.
