Go South Go Task Force

The Go South Go Task Force aims to secure the maximum benefit from the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012 for the residents, businesses, organisations and communities of South London and to ensure South London contributes to delivering the Games.

1. To develop action plans for Olympic Games & Paralympic Games related activity in the sub region & to steer their implementation
2. To secure resources from partners & external sources to enable delivery of strong programme of activity
3. To use the opportunity of the Olympic Games & Paralympic Games to promote South London
4. To ensure activity in South London related to the Olympic Games & Paralympic Games is inclusive, & reaches out to residents, businesses & visitors
5. To provide a framework for collaboration at sub regional level between all partners who have an interest in the Games
6. To provide a forum & mechanism for sharing of information & ideas
7. To ensure that local activity is congruent with sub regional activity, & in turn with regional & national activity
8. To provide LOCOG, ODA, LDA & GLA with a coordinated response mechanism in South London
9. To make representations on behalf of partners on issues related to the Olympic Games & Paralympic Games
