Wandle Forum

The River Wandle runs from the Surrey Hills to the River Thames at Wandsworth and is acknowledged in the London Plan as one of London’s four regeneration corridors.

South London Partnership has produced a discussion document setting out the opportunities and challenges along this river corridor. In June 2005 a workshop was held for representatives from a wide range of organisations with an interest in the Wandle and as a result of that workshop, they agreed to establish the Wandle Forum. This is a voluntary group, but includes local authority and statutory agency officers, who are working together to develop a plan of action for river-led regeneration in the Wandle corridor.
