Vision

South London partners have an ambitious vision for the sub-region:

"South London will be a vibrant sub-region contributing to London’s competitiveness and sustainability, through increased employment, a high skilled workforce and a high quality of life – supported by an enhanced and sustainable transport infrastructure".

The vision takes sustainability to mean the compatible union of economic, social and environmental needs and potentials as applied to south London.

South London’s strengths include its town centres, with three centres in the UK ‘top 32’; easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow International airports, central London and the M25; highly skilled labour supply; high quality of life and low unemployment; and a presence of important business growth sectors.
